Breathing these days..
Take a calm breath in and out. Exhale calmly as you normally do. Hold your breath and time how long it takes before you feel the first urge to breathe (however slight it may be). Note how many seconds it took until that first urge to breathe. This is your BOLT score. A low BOLT score is a result of "over-breathing". Nowadays, we breathe TOO MUCH. We just don't realize it's happening. This is due to processed food, stress, and mimicking others who breathe the same way (we unconsciously mimic each other).
Consequences of "over-breathing":
- Even more stress
- Poor sleep/recovery
- Anxiety disorders
- Poor dental health
- Decreased fitness/sports performance
- Asthma
The list goes on... Is your BOLT score below 20 seconds? Then you definitely need to take action!
In the Warrior Breath course, our goal is not only to get your BOLT score to at least 40 seconds. We will make your breathing stronger. Rhythmic. Healing.
